A story about Oldtimer Car Museum in Skradin

Dear all,
we present you a newly opened Museum of Historical Vehicles and Industrial Property in Skradin.

This unique museum of technical culture in Dalmatia is prepared and equipped for months to finally open the door to the first visitors on July 1, 2018. The Conceptive Museum presents the exhibition "Ferdinand Budicki Museum in Skradin", which is organized in partnership with the Museum of the same name in Zagreb.

The Ferdinand Budicki car museum is significant for Croatia and Zagreb, as well as for Dalmatia and Skradin because, besides exhibiting old-fashioned cars, motorbikes, bicycles, photographs, artifacts and memorabilia, there is a tendency to organize many thematic exhibitions, lectures and forums, movie projections , conducting technical workshops and restorations, and other events related to the introduction, learning and promotion of 120 years of motor culture in Croatia.
Apart from the introduction of the motorcycle launches in our area (18/19 century), the exhibition continues conceptually to the part we called "Behind the Iron Curtain", which carries the world of cars and motorcycles from the period until the late 80s of the last century.

The cultural identity of Croatia at the beginning of the last century through the automotive culture presented through the exhibition 'Ferdinand Budicki Museum in Skradin' represents a tourist attraction and generates new contents in cultural tourism. It is a completely new look at Skradin and Sibenik, Dalmatia and Croatia of the very beginnings of motorization was part of a developed European society and of all the social flows that emerged from the new order.

The ultimate goal of the Museum is to completely revitalize the scarcely known part of our city and national history, and to give insight into the first pioneering period of autopsy in this area; to show in the new light the most important events and personalities responsible for the transformation of the society from idle into motion, from macadamas to asphalt, and horse riders into a new motorized era.
The Scardona Park Museum and the Car Museum Ferdinand Budicki have given a special place to car show in these areas where East and West have always been encountered, as well as through the vehicles of former Eastern European and Western manufacturers and brands.

So our visitors can return for a while at the age of our grandparents, grandparents, parents, and our childhood. In addition, the exhibition presents the so-called. Retro living room with typical furnishings and technical appliances of that era.
For our youngest visitors, we have also organized a Children's Playroom where children can play retro and eco-friendly toys, with little parents or grandparents relaxing with the first electronic toys or simply relaxing with the music of some other time.

The museum intends to become the center of gathering and socializing of Croatian clubs of old cars and engines, with special emphasis on out-of-school education, ie the arrival of primary and secondary school students, kindergarten children and students who will through the fundus of the Museum and technical education workshops and the playwrights know the unknown and exotic part of Croatian history so far.

For tourist groups, individual and group visits and children's groups, we approve very acceptable discounts, and touristic agencies, hotels and campsites offer arrangements for individual programs and co-operation.

In our Oldtimer Club we have foreseen an area for relaxation and rest, and can also be used for organizing occasional additions, lectures, private celebrations of large and "small" guests.

We look forward to your visit and future cooperation,
Your Oldtimer Museum
